Board Leadership & Governance
Cindi Owens – Founder & Executive Director
Cindi Owens is the Founder and Executive Director of Daisy’s Promise Dog Rescue, Inc. She established the organization to provide compassionate, prevention-focused support for families and their dogs, with a mission centered on keeping pets out of shelters and helping families in crisis. With hands-on experience in rescue operations, crisis intervention, and community outreach, Cindi leads the organization’s programs and strategic direction.
Paul Urban – Founder & Chief Information Officer (CIO)
Paul Urban serves as Founder and Chief Information Officer of Daisy’s Promise Dog Rescue, Inc. He provides leadership in technology strategy, digital systems, and operational infrastructure that support the organization’s daily functions, communications, and program coordination. His expertise helps strengthen efficiency and community connectivity across the rescue’s work.
Kelli Carrick – Treasurer
Kelli Carrick serves as Treasurer and is responsible for financial stewardship and accountability for the organization. She supports budgeting, financial reporting, and oversight of donated funds to help ensure resources are managed responsibly and directed toward mission-driven programs.
Liz Stricklin – Secretary & Social Media Director
Liz Stricklin serves as Secretary and Social Media Director for Daisy’s Promise Dog Rescue, Inc. She manages board records and documentation while also leading the organization’s social media and digital outreach efforts. Her work helps expand public awareness, strengthen donor engagement, and support volunteer recruitment.

Austin Gray – Advisory Board Member
Austin Gray serves as an Advisory Board Member, offering strategic guidance and community perspective that support organizational growth, outreach, and program development. Her insight helps strengthen Daisy’s Promise’s mission-driven impact in the community. Austin is also a member of another NPO in Buffalo, NY - Little Match Girl.

Safety Net Crisis Support
Promise Place is a safe place for pets and families during times of crisis or transition. We provide temporary safe-haven care, medical stabilization, owner-assisted planning and personalized support to help families find the best path forward. Built to serve the community and grow with its needs, the program is focused on meaningful outcomes and lasting impact.
